Yorkshire Should Bid For The 2024 Olympics!!!

If Yorkshire was a nation and not a county, today (10 Aug) they'd be 11th in the overall medal table at the London 2012 Olympics. Amazing.

Yorkshire should really host a future Olympics. Nomination for 2020 have closed, so it looks like 2024 is ours. There'd be proper beach volleyball at Filey and diving into the shark tank at The Deep. Football would be the Coach and Horses Ground (Sheffield FC, the world's oldest club).

Missy Franklin would compete at Bramley Baths and let's see how quick Usain Bolt is after a few Fat Rascals at Bettys. Transport for the world's media, athletes and fans would be courtesy of Yorkshire Airlines. So sign up and let's have the 2024 Olympics in God's own county, Yorkshire!
