Taxing sports drinks but not junk food is ridiculous

Description
The government has announced plans to tax all currently exempt supplements at the rate of 20% from October 1. We oppose this move believing it leads to an unfair tax where milkshakes and similar milk based products remain zero rated but sports drinks comprised of the same ingredients will be taxed. In the year of the London Olympics we think it is disgraceful that those who work to achieve good health and rarely require medical services are taxed to pay for the ballooning healthcare costs of a population who gorge themselves on zero rated junk food.
